- Because of the way we install the shingles on your roof using 6 nails instead of only 4,and the fact that we use starter strip shingles along your eaves instead of just cutting up 3 tab shingles like most other roofers, we are able to increase your wind warranty up to 40 MPH with the manufacturer. That means on an Atlas Pinnacle 35 Year dimensional roof for example, your wind warranty with the manufacturer will go from 70 MPH to 110 MPH. In Texas, this can be a very big deal due to the straight line winds we get often exceeding 70 MPH but rarely 110 MPH. This additional wind warranty is not through Vertical Roofing but actually from Atlas Roofing, the manufacturer of the shingles.
- Another way we upgrade your warranty with the manufacturer is through our partnership with Atlas Roofing Shingles. By using 4 different Atlas products on your roof, Vertical Roofing is able to offer you a Signature Select Warranty from Atlas. This warranty is once again offered by the manufacturer and will double your premium protection period of your warranty. On Atlas Glassmaster 25 Year shingles, this takes your premium protection period from 3 years to 6 years. On Atlas Pinnacle 35 Year shingles, it would go from 5 up to a 10 year period. All shingle manufacturers' warranties come with a premium protection warranty which means there will be no proration during this time. After this time is up, if your shingle should fail due to a manufacturer defect, than the amount of money they will pay you for your shingles will start to depreciate leaving you upside down and without enough money to replace your defective roof. Also, most manufacturers do not pay for labor to replace defective shingles. This is a large part of the cost and could once again leave you in trouble. The Signature Select Warranty from Atlas, pays for material AND labor during the premium protection period that we were able to double the length of for free.
- In addition to all these great warranties from the manufacturer that we are able to upgrade for free, we also offer a 6 year or 10 year workmanship warranty to match the Signature Select Warranty from Atlas. This means that if your roof should fail due to a manufacturer defect OR from a problem with our workmanship, that you will be FULLY covered for 6 years on an Atlas Glassmaster 25 Year 3-tab shingle and for 10 years on an Atlas Pinnacle 35 Year dimensional shingle.
